A member of the J body world. Dies at 17...
Tuesday, April 11, 2006 12:06 PM
I was told this morning By my mother about a car crash back home in Lingelstown.. Its was a 97 Pontiac Sunfire.. Looks JUST like custom97sunfire's car.. Just the hood is diff.
3 Ppl Died.. Stephine, Gab, and Steven. I know Steven a little we talked about his car and My husbands car.. I was told he was doing 105 in a 35 and couldn't stop and smacked into a trackertrailer... the driver died right away and Gab and Stephine.. Lingered but then Died.. This is why following the speed limit is so important.. three young ppl have died because they wanted a quick thrill...

Im not going to say that I dont feel for them, but if he was doing 105 then it serves him right. Sucks he had to go and murder his passengers like that though.

Well I feel sorry for the innocent people who had to die because of his stupidity but I don't feel sorry for him...there's absolutely no excuse for him to be traveling 3 times the posted speed limit, if this is true.

My condolences do go out to the family members who lost their daughters/sons/brothers/sisters/cousins (or other relation) in this horrific incident.

You would think with all drama that's been posted about people dying too young and stuff like this happening that people would use common sense and take heed.

Are there any news articles on this? Crashing while doing 105 in a 35 zone and killing 3 people is the sort of thing that generally makes the news.

It's a shame the passengers died. I don't think anyone will feel much sympathy for the driver though.

Not to be a dick or anything but it seems to me people choose sides. As far as the accident, i completely agree that it was wrong for him to speed and cause an accident and kill innocent people. But at the same time, where is his donation thread? Or flower thread? There was the whole Ohio accident and all the people got together and helped him out. http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=1&i=335337&t=335337 So why not him? Like i said not to be a dick but just curious on why people only care about certain people and certain cars? sure he screwed up but so did the other person in the other article. Dont get all bent out of shape at me i always thought about this when the first thread was made. So should we do something for every cavalier and sunfire driver that gets injured or hospitalized.

The families none the less are in my prayers.

We feel for tragic events, not idiocy. We will not give money because someone is ignorant. We give for Saint because he protected us. We give for Chris because he wasn't doing 70 miles over the limit. I don't even see how that is possible.

Rest In Peace, Saint. Oo Rah

having a donation thread for the driver would be like celebrating idiots. the driver had what was coming to him. shame that he took innocent lives along with him

My thoughts on the issue would not change whether it was someone beloved, hated or unknown on the .org. If you drive like a jackass on public highways and put not only your life, but the life of others in jeopardy then that person is an idiot and deserves everything that happens to them. I have no remorse for them, only the people who were forced to lose their life as a result of such stupidity. If this guy was indeed doing 105 mph in a 35 mph zone (and if this story is true...haven't seen anything official on it yet) he got everything he deserves. I only wished he some how survived so he could explained to the families of the deceased as to why they lost their son/daugther/brother/sister/neice/nephew/cousin etc...because of his selfish act.

As far as Chris Shelley is concerned...from what I read on the situation he was driving 25 mph over the speed limit and while that is wrong, he came nowhere near going as fast as this guy allegedly was going 105 mph in a 35 mph. I don't revere Chris Shelley for his actions...however since he did survive and is a human being...I want him to get better, recover and I have wished him well on more than one occasion if memory serves me. He will be living with what has happened and what happened to someone he loved very dearly for the rest of his life. I would do the same thing for this guy if he had survived despite how stupid I think he was for driving wrecklessly and taking the life of others in his hands. I did not give money to help buy flowers/gifts for Chris Shelley and his family and I won't do it for this guy, however, I will offer my condolences and express my deepest regret if a thread or webpage is set up for the families of those involved in this incident (I refuse to call this an accident) the same way I did for the incident involving Chris Shelly and Kasey Burleson.

With Saint...he passed on defending my rights as an American and I respect the hell out of that very much and deserves to be praised and honored for all that he's done. If there was a way for me to donate money to his cause without going through PayPal (I don't do PayPal) then I would.

Bottom line is that this is a sad incident and my deepest condolences do go out to the victims and the families of the victims involved but as far as the driver is concerned...I can't say the same thing. As far as I am concerned, he deserves to be dead for his stupid and irresponsible actions that took the life of two others who didn't have to die.

I apologize if that went long or if my words offended anyone...this was just my opinion.

I wasnt talking about saint, he was in the military, and i appreciate what he did. people like him are the reason we choose where to eat, what to eat, and what movies to see

But the chris shelly one, he will live, people donated a lot of money and time and effort to him and his family. he was speeding, not as bad but he was speeding, as well as this guy, granted one was faster than the other but they were both speeding.

Not trying to cut down on people but what if i was in an accident, speeding at 25 over, got in an accident would there be a thread for me? or my friend in the same situation?

Just trying to see who gets the benefits and why, i completely understand the saint thread.

I have a feeling that this may be moved to the war forum or locked due to the heated opinions...

This is the reason that I donated for Chris:

From page 7:

Quote:

7 years ago, my fiancee was killed in a car wreck. I was not the driver, nor was I in the car. She was travelling with her family to visit her grandparents. The car spun out in the ice. Pops was speeding. He told me as such. She, her mother and sister died. Father lived. You can not imagine the immense emotional pain one goes through at that age. .... Not ONE person ever said to her father "I hope you go to jail for what you did" Not even me.

Chris's situation is an accident. The situation that started this thread is stupidity, plain and simple. I too, feel no remorse for the driver, but do for the passengers.

In closing:
Quote:

Sucks he had to go and murder his passengers like that though.

I'm sorry to hear that anyone dies ever. But dieing during an act of stupidity does not earn you respect all it gets you is responces like these. I agree with everyone else here
in expressing my condolences but I do not feel sorry for the idiot doing 105 in a 35. This is why I am so dead set against street raceing and speeding like a moron in general as the life you end may not be just your own.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

And chances are he had the governor on his car too.
If this is true, this is reason why I always on those "how to remove the governor" threads (in which every one acts like pricks on there). It does not matter if you remove it or not, if you are traveling a high level of speed, your gonna die at 70-80-100-107 the same way at 110-115-130. Hell, even at those speed atleast your death is gonna be more instant.
Next time those threads comes up (you know they will), instead of saying stupid quotes make a comment like "obey all traffic laws" instead, which in the end has more meaning.

R.I.P. to the passengers

I feel for his parents and his passengers parents, friends and family that suffer a blow like this, even if he caused it they have to live with the pain and memory's.Prayers go out to them and hope at least one person if not more learns from it.

pure and simple speed kills it cannot be emphasized enough in my opinion i once years ago got pulled over by the cops for doing 65 in a 35 after that a few good car accidents including one in which i would have killed the person if he hadn't jumped out of the way in time because i ended up hydroplaning and i've pretty well learned my lesson i agree with previous posts there is absolutely no excuse for street racing and endangering the lives of those around you my condolences go out to the family and those involved and i feel the good majority of us could learn a lot from this tragic circumstance which could have easily been avoided

I must agree with Vincent. Both individuals were breaking the law by speeding. Pity for the passengers for the stupidity of the driver. I am sorry to say I have no remorse for either Chris or the other person mentioned in this thread. They were both wrong.

As all stated, Saint is a totally a different story and doesn't even belong in this thread except to say a heart felt thanks to him for making the ultimate sacrifice in defending my freedom and rights.

It just bugs me that people will support one and not the other, like i said, one was faster, but both speeding. are we going to set up a benefit fund for every jbodt driver that crashes? or just ones who select on who to do it for?

As of right now, other than that post, there is nothing to confirm existance of said crash.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Linglestown+fatality

http://www.google.com/search?q=Linglestown+crash

(or the spelling above of Lingelstown)

Hell, even local newspaper sites don't even have anything about it...

In any case, to quote you:

Quote:

But the chris shelly one, he will live,

...and have to live with the feeling of guilt every day of his life. He is aware of what he has done. Read the last couple pages of his thread. The words contained within his posts reflects that.

Do this, step back and put yourself in Chris's situation. Would you not appreciate the support of those that dared to support him?

Every kind word, every gesture of faith is there not to drag him down, but to help put his mind at ease.

This "anecdote" that was originally posted may have some truth to it, but until then, it's just a fable in my eyes and a poor attempt at someone trying to be an attention whore.
