Ben's DC2 Thread.

Well, when I'm not cruising around in the cavy, this is what I'm up too.

When I started on this car, I had never done much more to a car then changing oil, tires, and routine maintenance. However.. when my motor decided it didn't like me.. I was forced to do my first motor swap.. with no experience at all, and the big help of my friends and family, the new motor is now in the car and alive, we just have a few more things to finish up and it will be ready for the road.

This is what we had to start with. Its a B18C1.

First we removed the oil pan, this is what we found. #2 rod bearing went byebye. Turns out even the crank was garbage after this little event.

Getting ready to pull it out. I didn't plan on pulling it out without the head, but hey.. umm.. @!#$ happens.. thats all I'm going to say.

Another shot.

Another Engine shot.

Now with the motor out.. its going to a new home for a rebuild. So now we can put in one of these.

95' JDM B18c SiR..

then...

My Tein HA's

ITR Header to Flexpipe and Cat

the back..

and.. a preview of the finished product..

Anyways, I'll have more updates sometime next week if I get bored enough. later.

I don't think thats a JDM engine. It looks like it has a USDM valve cover at the very least. (DOHC is bigger than VTEC and it says Honda motor co instead of the Honda emblem correct me if I'm wrong Rabbit) What is the engine code on the block?. B18c what? In case you dont know where that is.

It will look like this but will say b18c

Its a JDM Motor, the block says B18C.

Whoever owned the motor before me, painted the valve cover / changed it around, that's why its different.

That front end is gay. Im willing to help you out though. Come by my place and I'll trade you my stock 98-01 front end for it. Free of charge all you have to do is pay for beer

mctoad, I wouldn't go by valve covers. Those things are traded and different in soo many ways. You can never trust the valve cover on a B-series motor.

Looks good so far. Keep us updated. You doing any mods to the new motor? I have a ton of updates to do on my build thread.

For now I'm just gonna be happy I got it running and drive it.

Probably throw a blox or skunk2 manifold on it, I also want to get the itr black housing headlights. Also most importantly I'm going to do a lot of theft deterrent stuff this winter.

Ultimately, Id like to see the motor boosted.. but honestly I'll prob just boost the stock motor and then figure out what I want to do for my next motor build.

Am I the only one that really thinks the JDM front looks retarded? To me it makes the car look 10 years older then it is USDM Integra front all the way.

Atleast on a scale of engine swaps the only thing easier then your civic/integra swaps is an aircooled bug, Deffinently a good car to do your first on.

Well today I cruised around for the first time during the day in the integra. It needs a little work on the outside, missing a lugnut and... bumper alignment needs work with the headlights, but other than that, doesn't look too bad. Enjoy the pics, Stenger did a great job on them.
