recently sold the wrx to get rid of a car payment and buy something with a bit more room for the growing family.
picked up a 2000 Cherokee sport. Jeep already had a 4.5" rough country lift, 33x10.50's and a custom front bumper.
so far i've trimmed the fenders, installed a set of rough country quick discos and a steering stabilizer, put in a new deck, and mounted my black magics on the bumper..

front after:
rear halfway done:
I've got to pull the rear sway bar yet, install my cb, and saturday will have my 33x12.50 Hankook Mud Terrains mounted. Also have a spare wheel on the way to mount one of the old 33's for a full size spare.
future plans include a rear gear, lockers, and a rear bumper with a swingaway tire carrier. we'll see where it goes from there.
Going wheelin at Rausch Creek in a few weeks with a couple buddys so I'll have more pics soon!
We have a 99 Cherokee Sport to and that exact same color. I would love to get the extra income to start modding the thing
Im a fan, love me some jeeps.
Want hub spacers? Shoot me a PM.
I like it. And they are tanks. Very cool.
sad about the WRX....but this is still cool i guess
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Love it!
I wanted a XJ really bad, had a line on a Gold '99 Sport with the 4.0 HO and the gold matching wheels....it was my dream XJ, sadly when I went to look at it cash in hand, the thing was rusted to hell (not shown in the pictures) I was pretty pissed and walked away.
Bought my Yukon off my old man, and to this day I still regret not looking for another XJ.
Definitely post some off-road pics when you get them!!
4WD > AWD
hahaha
I liked your bbugeye

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

i liked my bugeye too but getting rid of a $400 a month car payment was worth the sacrifice IMO. means more mondy for modding.
I am so jealous you are getting to go to raush creek. Jeep is looking good to.
One thing a GOOD tire shop usually does is wash the blue off once they're mounted. It's so easy that it makes me pissed and think the shop was super lazy when I see blue sidewalls.
AND GODAMN GET SOME FLARES ON THOSE! lol

well since I was the one using my buddies tire machine at his shop, i didn't take the time to clean them off. :p
flares are on the short list...
Looks awesome. Id pass on the flares. One less thing to rip off on the trails. Lol sucks that pa has a tire/fender law.
Lmao @ jl talking @!#$ and not having a clue.
i'm considering trying to find a way to make the flares easily removeable for trail use... we'll see though.

A. Spencer and I go way back. Believe me, I wasn't talking @!#$.
B. I do have a clue, and am not sure which part you were talking about me not having a clue about.
C. Just shut the @!#$ up.

With a lift and those tires you're probably spending the difference in gas
If you live in the woods and get 4 ft of snow, then you're probably better off with the Jeep. I know My WRX got stuck in my driveway a couple times this winter.

I live all of 2 miles from work and usually ride one of the two motorcycles in my garage throughout the summer.
pulled the control arms tonight. poly bushings are being installed tomorrow.
rough country decided to use different size bushings in their lower arms. had to order new arms as they won't sell just the bushings.
new arms will be in tomorrow and then I can get it back on the road... just in time for some 4wheeling this weekend!
And pics of said 4 wheeling, of course. lol.
have no fear... there will be pics and possibly video too.
4 wheeling is a drug! love the cherokee!
