My crush gaurd was "crushed" in my last accident so it needed to be pulled out. Now that I have a new GT bumper there is no support in the middle for my bumper nor any screws for it to tie into under the hood. What should I do in this circumstance?
go to a junk yard and get another crush guard.
Seriously. Get the proper one for the bumper and you'll be all set. You don't want to end up having a very minor accident blow your airbags because you had no absorber and the shock went straight to the sensor making the car think the impact is much worse than it is.
can someone help me out in finding one for the 00 GT bumper then... I have been having a hard time b/c none of my local junk yards have any GTs in. Any replacement part sites that may have them? I have already checked car-parts.com... I have searched, bumper reinforcement, crush guard, absorber etc... link me if you find any!
