i don't see why it's not a LS Sport... they came out in the last half of 02 when the ecotec engine was put in. replaced the Z24 in the US.
although, i don't think i'd buy that car... 3 years old and 78k miles on it... and there's no way in hell he's gonna get $10k for that car.

i see i see... i didn't look that far into it i guess. so it's not a LS Sport... but it coulda been.

Yeah, me too. As well the mirrors are black, should be red.
You can opt out of the fogs, but the engine code is definately a dead give away.
And you can get a brand new cavalier for under $9,000...

In Canada, that car would be a "VL Sport"... looks like a Z24, except for the lack of fog lights and painted pieces.. only on 2002 models... in 2003, it became the Z-Type.

definately an LS or base model w/ the sport appearance package. i believe the ls sport had a 'sport' badge on the fenders
other than that, no fogs, mirrors are black, etc etc

if i remember correctly, i thought the fourth character of a VIN was the chassis. every f-body (camaro/firebird) ive seen has F as the fourth character. every jbody ive seen has J as the fourth.
i may be wrong though......

no driving lights , no painted mirros , and no 2.4 or no eco

Well, this guy is desperate to sell the car... he E-mailed me again offering free delivery if I was within 200 miles of his house. He's also lowered the reserve (to what I don't know), and said he will take any reasonable offer. I think that may be for me since I busted him...
Also, i don't know how much you can change on an Ebay ad once bids have been placed.
None the less, NADA says the car is worth $6,100 trade in... unfortunately I don't think he's going to get that much from Ebay.

Your a big Cobalt fan. But not a Cavalier fan?
They actually came with more than a lip kit. (16" wheels and tires for starters).
It is an LS & LS Sport. The difference is
1. 2200 vs Eco (Vin shows that)
2. Fog Lights
3. Painted Mirrors
4. different side moldings (LS Sports were tapered)
5 Crome OEM wheels. (not shown)
As for an apperence package, I was under the impression that it was part of an LS kit.
Later in the production year some of the LS, LS Sports did not come with the front lip. I don't know why?
02 was the change over but the 02 Z24s only hade badges on the fenders in the US. There were not sport badges on it except for on the trunk saying LS Sport.
How do you tell an 02 eco from an 03+ eco, if lets say they have done a front end swap ( Just looking at the motor)?

The side moldings are for door digs and in the pick above that is the perfect example of the LS (except the machined wheels). Looking Good!
Look at the molding half way up the door(side molding). See how it is straight across. Now look at a real LS Sport and you'll see the difference.

i was looking at that same cavi two days ago. its not an ls sport. i got the same one as joe without the sunroof.
