Someone who's 5'3" would have to have the seat all the way forward to hit their knees. I'm 6'3" and 250lbs and I think I fit just fine. Sure it's tight, but I would describe it more like a glove.
I don't know what the heck she talking about the instruments being covered. In the picture you can plainly see all the instruments, including the interior light switch.
The key release button, which my 97 doesn't have, well she might have a point there. I hate those buttons, and I really don't know why they're there. But being too close, where does she want it? On the other side of the dash, that would be much more convenient.
Overall I think she really missed the fact that the J-Body is very safe for it's size. I you look at other cars of similar sizes they almost always have lower safety ratings. Comfort may be a large issue these days, but people really need to put things in prospective sometimes.

being a bit over 5’3" and we’ll leave out how much I weigh
Based on the review, this person probably weighed at least 300lbs. Even large fingers don't have a problem with the key release on a manual car!
I'd REALLY hate to see what kind of review this person gave on a Ford Escort!

The way people are it was probably a GLOWING one!
If she's that big, she need a truck to be carried in the box. She probably think she's like everybody else. That's the kind of stupid people that gives a bad reputation to a car.
I wonder if she's gonna try a Smart car. She's probably gonna complain about not enough space. Loose some weight you stupid big @ woman.

Don't know where this site came from or why it's still up most of the vehicles are more than a few years old.
This is what she had to say about the 2002 Lincoln LS "As for storage, the trunk was a lot deeper than it was tall. It would be impossible to haul a new 27” television for instance (for those of who haul televisions a lot)." How many cars can handle a 27" tv in the trunk anyway?
Overall, out of a four tire rating, with four being the very best, I give her review of the 2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe a one tire plus a spare rating. If you’re going to invest
actual time in reading a review, I think there should be more usefull information presented and less meaningless dribble about having trouble turning the hvac controls the right way for heat or stories about being slammed on the head/back with the trunk (even though I thought that was funny - oops bad wayne shouldn't laugh when others get hurt
).
Someone should request that she reviews a Geo Metro!
I'll spring for a shoe-horn to get her in.
i agree with above statements, im 5'9", and ive never been in a car that fit more like a glove, i find it nice to strattle the steering colum for leverage in shifting around corners etc. my own personal thing is, when making hard corners, the car takes it (before and after my modded suspension), and the car throws me around sometimes, guess i need better seats. It is sort of nice when the seat belt locks you in though. i think the whole review was biased, and shes a dumb fat @...
lol, I'm 6'3", 285 lbs and I fit into my Cavalier just fine. It feels as though I have more room than in my Mom's Camary and as for my sister's Hundai... forget-about-it...
By the way, this is my first post.

That fat lady sucks, and shouldn't be allowed near a car..who complains because things are too close together? that would make it easier to get to, don't ya think??? i mean, unless hitting one button you would accidentally hit them both because they're right on top of them...it's not the automakers fault the dumb bitch can't figure out the a/c or rear defrost button...jeez...
I do have to agree though... if you had 16,000 to invest in transportation there would probably be more practical options than a sunfire... and im talking about 2001 when it would be new too
I am 5'3 and I think my car fits me just fine. I have a 2001 sunfire and I have never had issues with my knees hitting anything or there not being enough room.
Even at the extreme, I can lay down in my back seat with no problem. I am not a toothpick either so she must being wearing that sunfire, not driving it.
This explained to me just how dumb this girl is...

I am so used to rolling down windows with a button, for instance, and it honestly took me a few seconds to figure out how to open the driver’s window when I first drove the Sunfire SE Coupe because I assumed it had power windows.
i am 6'4" weigh in at 265 and have no prob with my cav except that damn sunroof...someone put her big butt in an aveo
Lets see... she felt cramped, her knees steering column and she sould not see all the instrument lingts? Sounds like she never found the lever UNDER the seat to adjust the seat.
Couldn't get the key out because the lock button was too close to the key? What? did she loose her right thumb in a horrable bon bon accident?
she "assumed" it had power windows? What's the first 4 letters of that word again? ASS-U
The arm rest was to far back for confort? this is probally the BEST armrest for a 5 speed! I passed on an Aveo and a Sentra when i got my 05 fire because the arm rest felt aquarward when shifting.
I give this reviewer 4 FLAT tires, a potato in her exhaust pipe, and sugur in her gas tank... wait... better pass on the sugur in the tank... she may drink that because she may "ASSUme" it's Ice Tea.
That is messed up. She must be one of those ppl that like to sit atop the steering wheel like an old lady does. i've never had any problems with height. Till I got my hands on a set of corbeau brackets for mounting my aftermarket seats in. And a little grinding and a welder will solve the problem of me bouncing my head off the bare roof of the car right now. haha Definately the worse review I have ever read. No tech info or anything else. I think little kids could write a better review using the same exact format she used.
The room thing doens't seem like a problem to me. Six feet tall and I can't put the seat all the way back otherwise I can't get the clutch to the floor. She's got to be on some good hard sh*t.
just prolly another one of those people that think if the car isnt a honda or toyota its a peice of crap
lol, im 6'1" and i have long legs, a 38" inseam for regular cut jeans. My feet touch the pedals quite well with the seat all the way back, though my knees do hit the steering wheel, this is why you spread your legs apart.
