i was looking at a 69 yenko maro this morning with a swapped in TT LS7 but it needs all new weatherstripping is the $1700 the guy is asking for it too much do you think i could get it for $900?

If it is the stripped down bargain model those sold new for 10.....

Like my 04 Cav 5spd. $10,720.xx window sticker, after a manufacturer's coupon, the extra for the extended warranty [$800] and my down payment of $700 I still walked out for less than window price. But that was with 9.9 miles on the odo :p

For your area, max retail value is $8950 according to Edmund's dot com. That would be for a car in absolute showroom condition. There are lots and lots of Cavaliers for sale, if you can't get that one for a price you like, then keep looking. Expect to pay something over $7000 for a nice one, despite what every one else is saying. Wholesale is about $7200.
