Ok you know how the S2000's have the option of buying a hardtop well why can't the Verts for J-bodies have that as well?
What is with all the dumb a$$ no common sense threads here lately.

this is a discussion forum so people can talk about all the great, @!#$, or dumb ideas they may have.
Its a place where ideas can be taken to the next level, or the realization that they are impossible (or idiotic).
Give the guy a break, im sure you've had some ideas or thoughts others find ridiculous

you I know just like to start stuff with people.... so I will leave it at that....
I think it would actually be pretty sweet...
But when you think about it, how many 5 seater convertibles have you seen that have removable hard tops? It would weigh a ton and be hard to get on and off...
yeah true but for show aspect it would look nice if it were just C/F
Step 1) Get a truck and sawzall
Step 2) Go to junkyard that has a coupe
Step 3) Sawzall the roof off and take home
Step 4) Add some bracing to prevent flex and some hold down brackets
Profit
Course this is the simplified version of the process

Sawzall is the ONLY solution and everyone here knows that.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
we looked at hardtops for our s2000 and they are just so expensive. you can't get one for less than around 2,000 unless your lucky. a c/f mugen one i think runs like around 4-5 grand. are you really going to put that kind of money into a hardtop for a cavalier?
Correction:
Decent-looking, and waterproof.

It's not really a question of if you would pay for it someone would just saying it would pretty cool to see.... ya know...
it would be cool but like shifted said these are bottom of the line econo cars. no one is gonna take the time to develop this and spend thousands of dollars for the interest of say 2-3 people because we all know 45 people would want to buy it but only 2 or 3 would actually go thru with it.
