Is there anyway to remove my e-mail address from past posts even though I can no longer edit them?

If this is an email replies problem, go to the post in question and click "Remove from Email List" in the blue bar above the reply box.
If you posted your email address in a thread, you can't do anything about it. Unless there is a serious problem, then just let me know about it (with a good explanation).

seeing as he still has his e-mail in his profile I don't know what the point of having it removed from a thread would be. Anyone who clicks his profile can see it.

is that what that is from? lol i use to always get them and had no clue why, i just deleted them.
well somebody probably got your personal information and using your information to spam that means either change your password or get a new email address.
