How ironic that the only 2 things about these cars, which are the engine and transmission, and what positive reviews mostly comment on, came from Toyota. They sold the design to GM. So, basically, everything that is crappy about these J-bodies came from GM and GM alone. They knew it was old technology, yet still used because they wanted to get away with it. They cheaped out on the car to maximize their earnings.
You may wonder, why consumers knowing full well the technology was outdated, still bought the car back then, because GM offered rebates and massive discounts, so this car sold like crazy because it was cheap and attainable for people who wanted transportation from point A to B. This car is one of the reasons why GM destroyed their reputation, and now nobody trust them with cars.
They literally put all plastic in the interiors, and the only way you can something nice is if you get the highest trim levels of their models, you can get leather seats, which are not even hand stitched. The cobalt was another example of this, basically a cavalier with an improved interior and exterior. Even the GM CEO said the cobalt was crap.
Now, they finally figured it out with the Chevy Cruze, finally giving consumer better interiors. It still looks bland compared to the competition
You are wrong. And now banned. Troll.
