im in the process of changin a motor for a buddy from six hours away hes got a 99 z24 i didnt know before i got it the year an the only 2.4s i had were pre 99 @!#$ty part is i got the car on the hoist now so i need get it done i did sum searching an found sum helpful stuff im jus wonderin if theres anything else i should now beside the knock sensor an egr an as far as the egr goes can i jus block it off on the head an itll b fine any help would be greatly appreciated oh an by the way this site is awesome lol

ECM from a 96 is different from the 97 and up donīt know if this will cause you problems.What year is the engine ?

The ECM wont matter. He is changing the motor not the computer. If you are working on a 99, then any LD9 from a 99 and before will work. The only real changes came in 00+ LD9's. It should be a direct bolt in and call it a day.

sweet ya i got it in used a egr plate from a eco modified a lil of course . welded a nut over the 12 mm hole for the knock sensor so the newer 8mm knock sensor would fit used everything from the newer motor intake injectors exhaust mani thanks guys

One of the trans bolts may be too long, its on the front goes into oil pan if that helps had that on mine and poked a hole through the pan, so if it gets tight and there is still a good amount of bolt sticking out put some washers in place. Would need to know what year the doner motor came from for more help
