ECM from a 96 is different from the 97 and up donīt know if this will cause you problems. What year is the engine ?
The ECM wont matter. He is changing the motor not the computer. If you are working on a 99, then any LD9 from a 99 and before will work. The only real changes came in 00+ LD9's. It should be a direct bolt in and call it a day.
sweet ya i got it in used a egr plate from a eco modified a lil of course . welded a nut over the 12 mm hole for the knock sensor so the newer 8mm knock sensor would fit used everything from the newer motor intake injectors exhaust mani thanks guys
One of the trans bolts may be too long, its on the front goes into oil pan if that helps had that on mine and poked a hole through the pan, so if it gets tight and there is still a good amount of bolt sticking out put some washers in place. Would need to know what year the doner motor came from for more help
