I searched and couldn't really find what I was looking for. I was wondering what would be a better battery for me, A yellow top or a red? I have a stereo so I was thinking a yellow but I am not sure?!
Any suggestions?

It depends, what does your system entale?

Cannon fodder is my daddy.
When I put my car back on the road it will have 3 W0's, a JL 500 watt amp, speakers and a deck. I am hoping to get a cap too...
But I have keyless entry and have shaved my locks already and shaving my door handles soon to if that helps.

As I understand it, it's not about what your system entails but more about what you intend the battery to do for you.
The Yellow Top is meant for deep cycling, which means that it's made to be run down to empty and then recharged on a regular basis. The Red Top is meant for what we normally use car batteries for... to stay mostly charged all the time as you normally run off power from the alternator.
If you use your stereo a lot when the engine is turned off so the battery is being run down, then you'll want the Yellow Top. If not, you'll want the Red Top.
But I'm not electrical expert. This is just what I gather from Optima's literature.
yep wild weasel is correct.... the yellow top has never let me down yet so its so worth the money...
I've got a Red Top and it's doing well. I have 2 Kenwood 12's and a 1000 watt amp. I've even left my lights on when I went to work at 7:30 AM, wasn't til 1:00 PM after lunch break I realized I had left my lights on. ^^^^ But I think Wild Weasel summed everything up.
