hey fellas , would like to know where is the best place to get replacement intake manifold. suggestions highly appreciated, my original one is seriously cracked.
thx , how about where to get a new one other than auto part store or suitable upgrade
What year vehicle? I have a few 00+ intake manifolds laying around.
it's a 2000 sunfire gt. does any manufacturer make these in metal instead of plastic
If you dont mind a used one let me know. I dont have a 2.4 manifold on my 02 anymore and dont really need two of the three that I have.
if you get a 99+ make sure you dremel out the lip on the inside edge of the tb flange. no idea why gm wanted to sacrifice flow.
i have a venom, its a very nice peice... but like was said, very expensive and very hard to find.
BUT... there has been one on our classifieds for awhile now. i believe it is powdercoated black. he is also selling the RSM vortech s/c kit.
The plastic is better than the Venom metal one, so stay with the stocker.

Who sells the venom intake?
thx for the inputs but i thought i saw some company make one in metal but don't remember.
OEM, Overkill Engineering Motorsports makes one.

Alexis: Dustin, you're ghey, lol. I am better. I have tits, and tits rule all.
anyone ever think hes talking about the 2.3 monifolds ?
^ he could be... and i was gonna suggest that
Originial Poster: what kind of build are you going with your motor... if you are staying stock, get the LO or 1995 2.3 intake manifold and a phenolic spacer from OEM. if you are planning on camming it and P&P the head, and/or Turbo, get the HO 2.3 intake manifold, an a phenolic spacer from OEM. (the link to OEM is posted above)
thx for all inputs but whats the difference between the 2.3 HO and 2.3 LO?

really? you got dyno proof and flow bench numbers to prove that bold, ignorant statement?

the 2.3 HO is a high output engine
the 2.3 LO is a low output engine
The HO had a much bigger intake mani, than the LO. however both are metal...
is the LO bigger than the stock one on a 99 LD9? also whats the hp gain?
they are bigger than any LD9... the HP is negliable without supporting mods

You got any to prove otherwise?
Reason I said that is heat.

i dont need proof, were not talking about me. were talking about you. you claimed its no better as if you knew for sure, which its total BS and you know it.
it may not be, it may be. but to outright claim @!#$ like that is just making you look stupid.
and heat is irrelevant, the HO manifold is also aluminum so the transfer is the same. the venom is actually probably better because it is a thinner material and dissipates heat better.
oh, and i'll be pulling it off real soon to see if its really lighter than stock or not.

I also do not think the 2.3 is better.
It is my belief that these manifolds are not better, and are uglier (except a 2.3 that has been powder coated properly).

see, thats all you had to say. 'my belief'. you are completely entitled to that.
id love to see some dynos for proof from either of you.
