Cruise Control Removal

Hey guys, I have an 02 cavalier 2.2 eco 5 speed. I wanted to remove the cruise control since I never use this feature and want to clean my engine bay a bit. Is there a write up for this procedure, please. Lastly, when doing this, can the car throw a code or cel? Thank you.

Yeah philly I know and thank you but I have read some info from other members asked around and they said it can throw a code/cel so I want to be sure I am doing it right.

It will not throw a code.

just remove it if that is what you want.

You can also move it and mount the until under the dash to clean the engine bay up. I myself and other members have done that.

This, best option IMO.

Want hub spacers rear disk brackets or trailing arm bushings? Shoot me a PM.

I do not have any pictures of it.

All I did was unconnect until from the car put it in the drivers seat, and then ran the cable through the boot at the firewall, and pulled the cable until the unit was in the floorboard. I then used zip ties to secure it to the unneath of the dash. reconnected the cable to the TB, and ran the plug that connects to the unit inside and connected it. Done.
