"On remeberance day , a friend showed up at my house to work on his car. We had to move my car to get his in the garage. So we took mine for a little spin to the sunoco by my house. While turning around in the back parking lot we saw something shinning from in the long grass. We got out of the car to go check it out. When we got up to it we saw it was an aftermarket fibre glass hood. and looks as if it would fit a cavalier or sunfire?. The hood was in perfect shape, nicely placed in the long grass before the tree line. My assumption is someone stole it and got followed so they tossed it in the woods (nicely) and were gonna come back for it. So we came back with my escort and picked it up. Ive been posting on some boards to see if anyone owns it, because i know how much it sucks when your car gets jacked. I wont describe it that way people have to pm me the describtion of the hood and when i bring it to them ill make sure its the same color car as the hood....so no one screws me or who ever owns it. I wont give it to the police because they will likely get auctioned off anyway becasue the odds of the owner going to the police with the describtion of it are slim. Its only fair to see who the owner is....if no one claims it for a like 3 months...ill get rid of it or turn it in. i think i have a good chance of finding the owner.
If anyone has lost an aftermarket hood lately, possibly for a newer GM. PM me the details of what it looks like and ill bring it back to you.
This was posted on the JCO board also.. and a guy on there from barrie had a hood and bumper stolen, and his bumper was found in london, however this wasn't his hood.. but just goes to show, this hood could be from anywhere in ontario.

I agree, that is amazing you would go out of your way to be honest and not take it for profit or to use yourself.
Lets hope the people who claim it are as honest and will not try and scam a new hood.
Your actions have really brought a ray of light on a normally $hitty world of car theft and vandalism.

I saw one today on my way home on a cavalier....
black hood on a red cavalier looks like he just got it ... I've seen the cavi before......without the hood....

no that is my hood, of my other car if you are reffereing to the red and black cavi you saw around scar or ajax, i have the stock black hood aswell i took the hood of my other black ca rsince it is just parked up, thanks for just putting me out there though by they way all the rims are mine aswell,
but fi you dont mean me then my bad i just done wan to have to knock out some guy coming up to me and saying tht is hood ???
I saw it in richmond hill ...... bathurst and rutherford..... no where near scarborough... or ajax......... sorry ..... wasn't you ....
