Ok heres the scoop....... whiteboy.ca may be using your car pictures without you knowing andusing them to sell knock off bodykits. This is not only damaging to the real company who produces the kit, to you especially if you into to car shows like I am, it can very well make you look bad i the judges mind if they know you bought a knock off body kit as alot of hte judges own cars themsel ves and may be sponsered by the very company being knocked off.
Not only that but we all know how hard we work for our car parts and strive to get the best on the market and go out and buy urathane kits and spend hours on are cars cleaning and taking pics, only for the possibilityof them getting stolen from us, possibly without us knowing.
The reason im posting this is beacuase it happend to someone that i know and it took them 3 days to get the pictures down, and when they were finally taken down and haveing the origanal bodykit manufacture made aware of the situation, there were 2 emails sent with immature comments made of the current car in question.

Here, you all you want is the respect that you saved up money...bought a quirky bodykit, I can almost garentee your gonna grow out of that kit years from now. Maybe some poeple are cheap and dont find sense buying expensive bodykits. I just think you should cool down a bit...whiteboy.ca is not using your car...so stfu, and they are a wicked ass company with a sunfire....that looks hotter than your car will ever be!

You have to have permission to troll onto someones registry and lift their pics. And yeah if I had paid $2000 for a body kit, then had had all my work used to promote a $500 knock off I would have a problem with it. Wouldn't you???

It's true, they have to ask you and I believe you have to sign some sort of waiver saying that you have indeed allowed the use of your car on their website. Making a knockoff of a body kit and selling it is like buying knock off Oakleys, they're using the name/look to sell a cheap product.

Can you play a song on the radio without paying the writer NO so why can you use my car without paying me.

hmm well VIS racing sports uses all the pics of my car for ym body kit on their site the 95-02 Sunfire Blits kit and I enver signed anything to give them permission. I was quite happy that they are using them!

This isn't a matter of opinion. It's a matter of the law. Just because you wouldn't care if they used your pics, doesn't make it any less illegal.
It's misrepresentation. They're implying an endorsement that doesn't exist and getting free promotional materials they have no entitlement to.
You can't go snap a picture of Kobe Bryant and use it to sell your bondage gear. You'll be sued and in some serious trouble over it.
This case is no different. Companies can't use pics of people's cars for promotional purposes without those people's permission. People make a lot of money through promotion and sponsorship. It's got real value and companies who do this sort of thing are stealing from the owners.
If a company I respect wants to use a pic of my car for promotion, I'll let them do so for $1000/yr. If some company uses my pics without permission, not only are they robbing me of that money I would charge, but if I don't respect the company then they could also be damaging my reputation, hurting my credibility with other companies and potentially costing me a whole lot more.
If anyone still thinks that he's got no right to complain and shouldn't care... well then that's just plain stupid. Given the facts, you should know better and appreciate the fact that he is being ripped off.
OK , So Sue them then. Take it to court. Lose a days pay, all over a lousy picture.

When you go to a car show, people take a picture of your car right ? Well the good ones at least. LOL. "not saying you guys have sh!t cars, and im not saying you have good cars" You dont jump out infront of the digi cam and yell STOP so you ? And when you enter a show you are giving people the rights to their own photos. Read the rules of the next show you do. I would know because I am on of the judges at DKN. Also if there is no copy right to the photo you can not sue. You need to have a copy right on the photo in order to sue them for using your car's pic. Also when you post it up on the internet to show it off. It is almost fare game for anyone to grap it. I bet if it was a pic of ur car in a pas mag you would be showing it off to the world. But since it is on some one's site your crying about it. I am with style24 on this one. And if you want to know about the laws just ask my teachers. Because that is what I am taking in school. So dont bad mouth a a business. And to tell you the truth I never even bought anything from whiteboy before. But I have heard good things about them and their prototype products.
