aight guy need to vent/find out what is going on..... so this morning after work i decided to go visit a friend out in the west end of the city, so i had to take the lovely 401 west bound. after about 30min of heavy traffic i decided to switch my fan on to see if it could help with the engine.... it read 2 notch's above reg temp 90... for the first 2-3 min it decreased to what i think is normal temp. shortly after the temp gauge went back up but this time it kept rising granted very slowly but it reached the first white line which is 100 if i am not mistake.... now i have never seen my temp gauge go that high since i have own the car..... and yes i have drive in heavy traffic before, but nothing to put my gauge up to 100.... lucky that there was a brief opening in the high when i slowing gave it gas it went back to normal.... now it working fine.... my question was it because i threw the fan on that cause the gauge to reach that point by introducing hot air or what like i said i have never seen the gauge that high... last time did in a car was my gf ford tarus and well lets just say she doesn;t own a tarus anymore.... any suggestions... the motor is 2200 2002 4 spd auto approx 110000... switch was done by the man himself kevin (wildweasel) so i know its not the wiring.... please if theres any suggestions get back to me... thanks
Patrick
heh... after the issues with my crimping for your other wires... I wouldn't be quite that confident on the wiring.
It's all wired correctly, but if something came loose then it could cause a problem. Did you verify that it's working properly? Basically, did you verify that when the switch is on, the fan is turning?
If it turns out that a connector came loose, we'll set a time for you to come by and I'll just solder them this time.
If a wire came loose, it could be stopping the signal from the ECU which would explain why it got really hot. If the fan wasn't coming on at all, that could be the issue.
crimping.... tsk tsk tsk.... what a hack job!
lol. a good soldering iron is your friend, but if your doing a job for a friend, crimp away!
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
