Just wondering if anyone can help me...I do my own oil changes and now have a problem with my car at the dealership...and without receipts they say it may not be covered under warranty. Any ideas what i can do?..thx in advance DW
For GM warranty you technically don't need receipts. The onus is on the dealership to prove that lack of maintenance caused the damage and a call to GM customer care can usually resolve any issues. Its happened to my dealership a few times where people come in with blown engines and no receipts and the still get a new motor under warranty.
Now if this is with another warranty company your screwed.
Nope GM warranty with 49500KM on the dial

Ive had dealer servicde, but am missing changes at 30,000 35,000 and 40,000...have the one for 46,000
Well... I wouldn't really call it getting screwed if they didn't cover it.
It sucks, but really you'd have brought it on yourself. There's nothing wrong with doing your own maintenance, but you have to keep proof that you did it.
It won't just help you with warranty claims, but people will want to see it when you decide to sell the car.
Fill in the service log section of the owners manual, with a blue pen for one entry, black for the next, see if that satisfies their requirements. If you really did the maintenance, there's no reason they should deny you warranty.
