Realizing that GM has a kit….I would like to hear about your experiences with other suppliers / stores is the area..…
Looking to deal with more personable people then the GM dealerships…
Any advise is appreciated….
Middle to Southern Ontario preferred…!
Thanks for any help..!
Unless you use Pace or Crate Engine Depot in the US, there is no other place to get one other than the dealer. Or find a used one, but they're not so easy to find.

Why is the ECO SC twice the price???
Also jsut wondering is there a way I can swap a 2000+ computer into my 97 so I can get the GM reflash?
You can swap a 2000 ECU into a 1999, use high impedance injectors, and the smaller starter without issue, not sure about the 1997.

Eco's are the newest stuff. The 2.4 hasn't been produced in several years and the price (and I think the supply) is falling.

Well I have the smaller starter already, I just need to figure out how to do this all in my 97, I have no problem buying the SC kit and EGR block off plate, but I have absolutely zero experience with boost, I have no idea what fmu or any of that is or even how to hook it up, I need some guidance here. Anyone with a 96-98 have this done that can shed some light?

I doubt you'll be able to find one of these kits at the junkyard, seeing as you can't afford to buy any sort of new parts I'd say you're SOL on this one pal.

Your the biggest loser on this forum......you really are......I am going to buy the kit sometime in the near future. I need a lot of help I have no idea what Im doing
Coming from the likes of you, I'll glady accept that as a compliment
Maybe the fact you have no idea what you're doing, and the fact your piece of @!#$ car eats engines like candy, maybe you should give up on this dream of boost that I have immense doubts in your ability to even attain.

Watch out Blownblackz or you will get the "crowbar" !!!!!!!!
No thanks your car is a piece, mine looks way better then yours, motors have gone because I beat on them, and yeah Ill see you at a car show or something, try to fight me, I dare you. I personally wouldnt recommend it, you dont know who i am and what i can do. BUT anyways anyone with a SC'd pre 99 have a list of what you need?
There's a guy at GAOC selling a kit. He had it on a 97 Grand Am so many of the small fixes have been taken care of. His sign on is sweetga97 or something close. he's also willing to help with info, etc to get you going.

Yes, your car looks better than EVERYONE else's car, it's just so, hot. Yes, so very incredibly hot. All 5 colours of it...oh how I wish mine could look half as good as yours. Show 100 J-body enthusiasts both of our registries, and see how many choose yours over mine, I'm sure you'll crush me in votes.
/sarcasm
I've beaten on this engine heavily, since day one, with many people who could attest to that. Guess what. Still the original engine, still strong as an ox. You just can't drive, you bounce it off the redline trying to shift like Mr F & F, we all know you can't afford anything so you probably change your oil once a year. That's why you blow up engines like microwave popcorn. I like the threats, they're funny. Keep 'em coming tough guy!

if you took the time to look around this site you would realize there is lots of info available about the gm supercharger on pre 99 cars.

Blownblack, my car is AUTO so its not bouncing off redline, learn yoru info you moron, you think your tough......any of you who think you are, bring it, not scared of any of you, how old are you guys doing up Cavaliers? I bet you think your really cool driving down the road looking at young girls, yeah Im 35 and drive a Cavalier how sweet do I look. Glad im not that old and young enough to have one still. By the way I have my normal red hood now, so the only colours are RED and WHITE on my car, dont know where you count 5, must have failed kindergarten. get a life, what you write is hilarious, just makes me laugh and my friends who ready it too, hilarious.
