Yeah, there are no commercially made ones. Only custom stuff.

there is nobody who makes them really, even Josh if he does make them you have to build your own due to lack of quality.

Agreed, you really only get the beginnings from him, its all up to you after that. Taking apart and aiming. Its not fun.

Did you guys seriously think he'd be able to aim them without a car to fit and aim them on? Esp when every car is different?

Mind you if they were installed properly with aiming screws in the back you could do that yourself but from what I've seen he hacks them together.

Heck he doesn't even bother to space the headlight forward since his clear lenses for the sunfire are like 1/3" short and leave a gap between the headlight and fender and bumper. I've seen 2 finished sets with the same gaps. $1.25 in spacers and longer bolts for the headlight bracket and they'd fit like stock.

The lack of attention to detail he puts into his retrofits blows me away. I don't understand how ppl wait 18 months and spend $600 on that crap.

He sells really sweet CCFL Angel eyes tho.

lol you need to read Chris where did I say i had an issue aiming I was reffering to the projector being on a 10 degree angle pointing to the right on the one and the other being 10 degree slope up on the other. then the 1" gap between the headlight and bumper is sweet as well as the cracked healight housing and paint that was all crackled. $600 or whatever I paid for them is a bit retarded to replace practically everything and start over.

I had pretty much the same problems as Bummerz. My lights were off totally. the cut off was on a 45 dergee angle. both out TOTALLY. But whatever, I aimed them again, and now have a decent product.

Actually you need to re-read the part where I asked how you expected him to put them into the housing without the car to test the aim on? Putting the projectors into the housing crooked is a direct result of having no test-bed. It takes but a fraction of an inch for a projector to be mis-amed by over a foot within a 20 foot distance.

He's doing all these retrofits for all these cars and yet he doesn't own a single version of 98% of them so how is he to aim something before final fitment? You certainly can't do it on a bench.

The 1" gap between the bumper and the headlight can be fixed with longer bolts and some spacers. I've stated this many times and it's something I even recommended to josh himself after I finished my first set of lights. $2 in hardware would give you an OEM fit. He just didn't care enough, it seems.

And I agree $600 is ridiculous for what people have received from him.

slvrblit - how was your projector secured in? Urethane or a backing plate with aiming screws? To screw up the orientation of the projector such that the cutoff was diagonal is just a testament to lack of finishing skills or the general desire to do the job right.

I feel bad for the people still waiting for retrofits / parts / money from him.

Darren - sorry compadre I'm just not interested in making another set. Everybody exclaims it's "easy" to retrofit projectors... but they fail to mention it takes a lot of time and patience to do it properly, perfectly, and make both sides 100% exact. There is zero room for mistake when doing a retrofit if you aren't using a shroud to cover up sloppy work. I saw you're asking around the exterior forum looking for somebody to build them for ya! Good luck, you may find somebody but if you do make sure they have a cavalier to test the aim on. I would even ask that they ship the lights to you without the lenses sealed on, since that part of the process takes literally 20 minutes to do and 2-3 hours to cure.

I have to say tho I've seen some exploded views of the 1995-1999 Cavalier matrix racing projector lights off ebay and it looks dirt simple to stuff a properly sized projector back there and aim it and put the shroud back on - hiding any and all sloppy errors. I have a set for my beater, all I need is projectors to fit in there... hmmm.

You are talking an inch top to bottom by the look of it mine was an inch towards the front, spacers cant solve that. as for the aiming yes I do understand that the projector was to the left about 3/4 of an inch from the housing to the tip of the projector glass that is far from an aiming issue that is just poor quality, then the fact he wont answer emails and not to mention he is using information on his website regarding my car that is false and against contracts with my actuall sponsors. He was great at the start, great intentions but hes falling way behind in customer service, and Chris even you have to admit that.

My problem with IZN is that there are issues, issues he knows about that would be simple in moulding stages that can be fixed. He also needs to work on customer support all I am saying is that the price of the product is not worth the quality and the finished product you get in return.

And I'm agreeing with you Justin. lol.

And yes spacers can solve your issue. I saw your lights in person at the ohio bash... same issue I had when I put mine together. Take a look at the mounting bracket and how it bolts to the back of the housing... connected by 2 top bolts and 1 bottom bolt. Longer bolts and about 1" in spacers per bolt and you end up pushing the lights 1" forward, closing that gap. Really simple stuff but he couldn't even do THAT much so that they fit right.

I can take a picture of mine for you if you want justin, and show you that I have zero gap. They literally have a stock fit.

To answer your question Sweetness, mine were Urethaned in the housing. I was NOT happy with them at all. I wish I took some pictures of them all torn apart, then everyone would see some of the @!#$ job that he did.
