I know with my maxima my engine code/name was the VG30E. VG=block label 30=dispalcement E=electric fuel injection.
Did GM use the same classification of their engines? If so what is the name of the 2.0 OHC found in my 94 Bird?
Well i know that my 2.0 OHC MPFI engine name is the LS6. i dont know any of the others

ill agree with 89. they gave the stock s-birds a crappy motor. dont get me wrong it dose the job but only whan you do modding.

Its actually the 92-97 2.2. The 2.0 was in a few 2nd gens, but mostly 1st gens.
look it up on Autozone.com.... search for parts and when it list your motor, there will be a code next to it. that's your motor.
2.0 OHC Turbo is a LT3or C20Det
2.4 twin cam LD9
2.3 twin cam ho W41 (two types, i think type H and type Z)
