What the factory name of our engines?
Friday, September 02, 2005 6:54 AM
I know with my maxima my engine code/name was the VG30E. VG=block label 30=dispalcement E=electric fuel injection.

Did GM use the same classification of their engines? If so what is the name of the 2.0 OHC found in my 94 Bird?

JVC KD-SX8350, Powerbass 6x9's rear, have to find some decent 4" front speakers,
Two Solobarics 12L5 powered by a Legacy LA2070 (1200x2 max).
Soundstorm F100.4 powering the interior speakers.
Now it's time for engine work.

the 94-97 2.2 OHV is the LN2....not shure if the older styles of that engine were still called that, like the 2.0L OHV in the 2nd gen cavys

Its actually the 92-97 2.2. The 2.0 was in a few 2nd gens, but mostly 1st gens.

look it up on Autozone.com.... search for parts and when it list your motor, there will be a code next to it. that's your motor.

2.0 OHC Turbo is a LT3or C20Det
2.4 twin cam LD9
2.3 twin cam ho W41 (two types, i think type H and type Z)

thats all i know off the top of my head.
