Uh I tried twice and it links me to E-mail. That can't be what you were going for. Fix it cause I'd love to see the car.

And Im pretty sure he is already on JBO, just can't remember his name
plus he's a 2nd gen, not a third
................Which car will hit 400 whp first???................
Oh God!! I don't know where to start. I don't want to sound like an ass And I do realize its a ton of work. But one question comes to my mind. WHY??? I don't get it the pics show a car that needs a lot more work. I can see them being the under construction pics but I would have actualy finished it before I posted them. I have no doubt the car will indeed look kinda cool when its done but right now its far from being done.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Sorry man but that looks like a total @!#$ing hackjob. You cant just weld new sheetmetal over existing panels. I dont see any structural support under any of it. Some of the waviest sheetmetal work Ive ever seen. And what the he11 is with the chicken wire tackwelded everywhere? Sorry but Im embarrased for you. I dont know man, I had a hard time dumping $$ into a 96 I couldnt imagine dumping it into such an old car with such an outdated bodystyle.
/\ /\ /\ I was trying to that as nicely as I could. But were on the same page basicly.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
it looks terrible. you can see EVERYTHING. it started to look alright then when i got to the last page, it just got worse. you have great ideas and all but your trying to do too much on one thing. those sides stick out like 8" on each side. i dont mean to bash you bit its just terrible
i don't know what these guys are talking about, for a work in progress i think its looking pretty good. odviously there is alot more work needed to be done, but when its all finished i think it will look sweet.
it looks like the skirt things that you put on a pickup or SUV.
AHAHAHAHHAHAHA
well ill at least give u credit for trying something cause i would never have the balls to wels sheet metal to my car....but i think that you need to rip it all off, stand back and think about what u are going to do before u start over...

Here is a picture of the rear quarter panel. I have to fill that in because it's starting to look a little tacky.
must have missed looking at the rest of the car
<img src="http://registry.gmenthusiast.com/images/wrecked92/sig3.jpg">
You guys must feel better about yourselves or something with those kind of comments.
My opinion is I think if some of it was redone and finished the right way, it would be pretty cool.
/\ /\ /\ A wide body is one thing and I even put it as nicely as I could as to not sound like an ass. But its got a long way to go before I'd post any pics of it, And I said it seemed
like a neet idea but he may have gone a little too far with it.
But seriously dude look at that pic just above your posting, it looks like a trucks running board or something. That things gotta be what 2 feet wider now? I respect the amount of hard work it must have taken but I think it was done all wrong.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
it would look awsome if i was all done right but either your going to have to rip it off and re do it or ur in for a line of headaches and @!#$ty lookin car after awhile it looks like if u spit on it it will dent.. or when u wash it it will dent in.lol its a kool idea though..
y is this in the 3rd gen forum?
...
he accidently posted this in the third gen

Car shows have Underconstruction/Un-Finished categories (at least all the good ones do)... plus many of us like to see inprogress pictures from time to time...
hell my car is underconstruction... im doing all my body work before i paint... and when you go WILD ... there is a lot of conversions involved...
as for the "outdated body style" remark... it may be old... but i dont want to drive a bubble... i like the mid-box look... i mean if anyone got the newest on the market, we wouldnt have classic cars. (not that im refering to a 2nd gen as a classic car in anyway shape or form)
Now there are three types of people
Conservative
Mild
Wild
Conservative heads hate wild... they hate seeing things that are unique and different, and they shoot for a clean stock, non creative look
Mild heads will go either way... respect conservative, but envy wild... usually their cars have a body kit, nice paint job.. maybe modded head and tails, but no conversions
Wild heads go extreme. Will change anything and everything to give the car a one of a kind unique look. Wild is a VERY hard class to compete in because usually you go against all cars... sometimes you get lucky and get all domestic wild. Standard wild cars have conversions (head and tail) usually door mods like (lambo, suicide, butterfly, or whatever) shaved door handles... some go with the wide body.... Now we cant stand conservative ... we dont show it as bad as the conservative owners do... but honestly conservative body (and i say that to leave engines and engine work out of this) = no creativity, nothing impressive, nothing to remember...
Im not trying to start @!#$ here... im just tellin it how it is... destructive criticism is pointless...
grr i need an edit button
i meant if
everyone got the newest cars.... we wouldnt have classics
sorry to post whore but i just thought about it
and im sorry about sounding like an ass earlier
i just get fed up with conservative owners say wild cars suck cause they are different... it gets old...
i re looked at his pictures and based on the majority of everyones comments... ya he does need to rework some things... but its a work in progress... and imma wait till he says its done before i pass judgement on how it looks...
Well all he needs now is a set of Plastic Spinners..

Well why waste time doing it a first time incorrectly if youll just have to do it again the right way a 2nd time?
And no one said the whole "wild" category sucked. We all said he's going about it the WRONG way
ya ... i over reacted...
i have been following his work for the past year and so far its been promising...
oh well...
it has pontential it just needs alot more work
wow its alot of work, good idea just way too far. I like the headlights and the front bumper but I think he went a lil too wide. but i admire someone who can go out on a limb and try something different not knowing what it will look like. Its those people who turn our heads one way or another....hopefully for the better.

To those with constructive criticism, thanks. I'll take in mind some of your comments. I probally rushed in doing some of the body work because I went to Iraq, and didn't have time to work on my car. But It'll be worked on, and for those who want updates, just visit my page every now and then. Thanks.

Wholly mother of wowzers.. You're at it again with your project! Lookin' mighty interesting!
.....
As for the widebody.. why? Fiberglass it and I guess you can move in with the "shave it" mod by reducing the sides where the eyes dont sore. Plain and simple, this is an opinion. lol
