my cav as some of you may know is lowered by the past few topics I've posted about struts etc. but currently I'm lowered on stock struts and Eibach Pro kits. Every so often when I hit bumps I'll hear a "clunk", sometimes if I'm in a lot and turn my wheel to turn around or whatever I'll hear a clunk. is it my mounts or are my struts just shot?
my car made the same noise it indid up being the strut mounts but with your car being lowered i dont no for sure

It could be one of 2 things... either the struts are blown (more than likely) or a strut mount going bad
Clunk = Mounts (eitehr bearing plate or bearings).
that's what I was thinking to, but don't worry, I'll be on KYB AGX's soon! thanks for your input
i'd change both, more than likely they both could be shot. When i changed into my AGX/Prokit earlier this week, one of the bearing plates fell apart taking it off the strut mount. Good thing I bought new mounts and bearkings! The struts were blown. Worse part, with the stock stuff blown, it still handled better than my Sunbird which i had a new front suspension and rear shocks put on.
It may also be something as simple as the top nut holding the strut to the mounts not being tightened down enough. Did you use an impact wrench on it?
how much do new plates usually run i herad u shoudl change them when geting new shcoks anyway? I plan to get some konis for my car soon and was wondering on how much the mounts are to
