In your opinoins Jbodyz

Hey guys...i just bought a set of Koni Yellow REAR struts only today..i have eibach sportlines to go with it (2.3" Rear Drop")..im just questioning about 2 things.
1. Will I be able to use the stock strut mounts to go with the new struts/springs (its a 2002 Cavy LS)
2. Im just dropping the back right now only, and soon the car will b running on 18" 225/40/18 tires. Im wondering if I just drop the back of the car 2.3" will it look kinda even? or not ?
All opinons are much appreciated~

1) yes if the mounts are in good condition you can
2) its not going to be even and its a bad idea to lower just the rear as it will throw the rake off

Forget the rake. Having such different suspension characteristics in the front and back will make the handling unpredictable and potentially dangerous.

im definetly going to buy new strutmounts....there not really expensive either.so i'll pick thoes up soon...im just lowering the back right now and in a couple months i'll do the front....the car isnt going to b driven on the highway or anywhere like that..just in town, no bumpy roads around or anythings..so i dont know if it will be okay to drive like that for a couple months

Okay, I'm anything but a suspension guru, and even I know this is a very bad idea. You're about to change the rake, quite possibly steering geometry, spring rates, handling characteristics... I'm sure CTS could come up with a whole list. Dude, highway driving or not, it's a bad idea. Save the money and get the stuff to do it all at once.

i have to admit to being a NOOB in suspension, but when i see something that's absolutely dangerous, i know it!

why not leave it the way it is until you can drop properly? i don't think it'd be okay to drive it like that to the store, let alone a couple of months. you have take into account, if manufacturers wanted the ass end to scrap, and the front to be stock, they'd build it that way

why ask for opinions if you say your just gonna lower the rear anyway
