They will fit on stock struts. It's a terrible and somewhat dangerous idea.
But so long as ignorant people will buy them, someone will sell them.

ground controls are about as high a spring rate as you get. Putting them on stock struts shouldn't even be considered an option .

no ground control are not as high as you can get actually they are lower that all those coil overs you see out there on Ebay and you ground control you can get custom spring rates.

I wasn't counting ebay specials

I've heard you can get custom spring rates but never seen any spring rate options available on sites that sell them. Do you have to purchase different springs afterwards or can you get what you want to begin with?

True that you could get them with soft springs and they would work just fine on stock struts; but people who know the spring rates to get probably also have after-market struts already.

They say that they are made for Konis. Konis use alot of the stock strut (spring perch, and base) that's why it's made for stock struts. It's really made for Konis. If you want to use it on stock struts you can, but they will blow very quickly.

"This Ground Control Adjustable Coilover Kit fits Koni{/B] struts, and allows you the option to customize the ride height of your vehicle. Unlike other spring kits that require removal of the strut assembly, the unique design of the Ground Control kit allows for quick, easy adjustment. This kit features Eibach Springs and offer a lifetime warranty against defects. The kit includes threaded sleeves, with adjustable spring seats, and are made of 6061 aluminum, anodized for durability and style. Adapter hardware is machined from the same high strength 6061 T-6 aluminum. "

Let's kill the confusion here. I'll explain.

Ground Control engineers their kits to FIT properly. This has nothing at all to do with whether or not the struts can handle the springs.

They make seperate kits to fit the stock struts, the Koni rear struts, and the KYB GR2's because those were really the only options available a few years back when they designed them. I have no idea if they've since made new kits for the AGX or Tokiko's or anything else. It's been a long time since I've looked into it.

What this means is that the sleeve and collar will properly fit the bodies of those struts. Out of those, only the Konis can actually work properly with the springs that they come with.

yes they will work. I called them to find out and they told me they will work with the AGX`s. They said they work great with them too.

Why not call up KYB and ask them the same thing? See what their opinion is on them...

Which is unfortunately the problem. You know how they say that just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's right? That's very much like what we see here. The only way to stop the ignorant from taking the risk is to stop giving them the option. Yeah, I know it would mean losing business from the cheap asses out there, but if it were me selling this stuff, I wouldn't want that on my concience. At the very least they could put a disclaimer up that specifically says if you're dumb enough to do it, and you get screwed up over it, don't blame us. In more correct terms, of course.

will they really blow right away??? I got an awsome deal on these struts and hope they will work out pretty good. I have been rideing around on BLOWN stock struts for almost 2 years now.....it sux but o well....I think this will be a huge improvement and will probally even make my ride qualiity seem that much better haha. I know it says 1.5 but isnt that what the KONI Yellows are ????

Thanx Charles

no.. they wont. itll take some time, seeing as they are new (im assuming) they will last probably about a few months to a year AT MOST. but if you abuse them (drive on crappy bumpy roads, or go over speed bumps like an ass) theyll blow pretty much rite out.
dont get them, unless u like paying more in the end. good deal or not, you wanna do it rite the first time, and not have to pay for 2 sets of struts. konis can go MUCH lower than 1.5. the yellows at least.
good luck.
