remove the 3 bolts on each side, Place corresponding brackets on strut tower over exposed bolts. Put nuts back on, and drive.
Its not hard.
torque to 18 ft lbs. you dont even need to jack the car up
That's 2 nuts and 1 bolt on each side too.

Ah, my bad. I did it such a long time ago, i could not remember.
WOW... I found an 89 Z in the junkyard yesterday morning that still had the factory (Im guessing) bar in it. Cost me $8.11. I know they arent the greatest, but I figured it was better than nothing. I cant believe the difference in the handling of the car for a part that cost less than 10 bucks and 10 minutes of my time. I never would have thought that the strut towers flexed enough for me to really notice a difference. I only have one question... is it me or have yall noticed that you feel the bumps a bit more. I cant tell if its just my imagination playing tricks on me because Im paying more attention to the handling now.

I plan on living forever... so far so good
18 ft-lbs is for the 3rd gens (which is what the original post is about) and make sure you stick to it since it's easy to strip them.
I have no idea if it's different for the 2nd gens.
As for feeling the bumps more... that's to be expected, though it shouldn't be too dramatic. That flex in the body is absorbing some shock from the bumps. Without it, you'll feel more. It's normal, and good for handling.
