any body have instructions or pics of a coil over install on stock struts? please i need help!!!!!
do not put coilovers on stock struts. they will blow and its not safe
Correct. It's unsafe and stupid. Don't do it.
Hopefully you haven't already bought the coilovers. Since you don't know how stupid it is to put them on stock struts, you probably also don't know how stupid it is to buy the cheap garbage they sell on ebay and other places. There's really only two coilover sleeve kits on the market that are made for our cars. All the rest are garbage.
And frankly, since you need struts as well, you might as well buy one of the complete sets like the Tein's rather than getting a sleeve kit. The sleeve kits are really only worth while if you've already got Konis or something worth putting them on.
ok i posted the same thing on ecotecforum.com. i DONT plan on driving around on these. i just wanna see what kind of stance they give for me in the different height set ups. if they look good im gonna either go gravana or tein for a coil over setup. i just need some pics or instructions on how to put them on.
well im calling
because you can set them at any height and any stance you want so that comment makes no sense.
check out bradiscool.com for installs
what do you mean bs? im trying to see if im gonna like the way they sit and in what level of height. im not gonna go out and buy a set of 800-900 dollar coilovers if i dont even like the way they make the car sit. if it looks better lower than it already is then i will buy the coilovers. if not then i get rid of the ones i got for FREE and call it a day.
you do know tht you can adjust each corner to whatever you want right? so you can make it look anyway you want.
and thanks for the link but that only covers lowering springs not coilovers
its the same thing. you take the mounts off, you pull the bump stops and boots. slide the sleeve and spring on. cut the bump stop. put it back on then reinstall the mounts.
its not hard
Photoshop is a lot quicker and easier.

If you just want to see how it looks at different heights and your planning on buying different struts, why in your original post did you say coilovers on stock struts????
cause im just trying to get a feel of what they look like. cause arent aftermarket struts a tad bit different in design then stockers?
Alright, gonna try to help........ Those sleeves will get you ALOT lower than Teins will, so 800-900 buck coilovers will not work, If you wanna go real low pop for the Gravana Coilovers bout 1200 bux, since they have full adjustability.
Tein Basics as low as they will go (Trust me
)
Gravanas as low as they will go..........well I don't have a pic, but it looks like it's on bags.
also remember that coilovers and the struts arent designed to be riden as low as they go all the time
