if the roads are bad, you don't want coilovers

well its not that they are horrible but they do have a few potholes i want to be able to adjust it at shows and when im on the road a regular lowering kit would be good if the roads were totally flat. why would i not want coilovers though?

I've got Tein Super Streets, I wouldn't run anything else on my car, its my 3rd spring and strut combo and deffinately my fav, you can lower the dampening for bad roads and crank it up for nice curvy back roads. Slamming any suspension is bad, the Teins are actually specced for about 1.5" all around drop based on the dampening and spring rates but you can go lower just wouldn't reccomend it when driving around, only for show.

Horrible combo. GR2's are stock replacements, and can not hanlde any sort of a drop.

Skunk 2 coil overs have extreamly high spring rates. I wouldn't suggest using them either, (even if you were to install them on proper struts.)

You're MUCH better off getting Koni Yellows or D-Specs for struts, and Ground Controls for coil overs.

Or you could go with the Tien Basic or SS packages. They both come with coil overs, and struts which are made to handle the coil over setup.

Personally, I'd suggest going with one of the Tien kits. Although you could probably find a used set of Ground Controls and Koni Yellows in the Classified section for a decent price.

You can't use coilovers on any sort of stock replacement shocks.

If you want coilovers, it's going to cost you a lot. You can't do this cheap and safe.

Read through the FAQ above. It will answer these questions for you.

if you want coilover my suggestion is get a tein kit thats already put together. other than that it should only be ground control coilovers and koni yellow/tokico dspec struts

You can order any spring rate you want from GC with no additional cost. Thats if you're interested in working out what your best rate would be

If you are looking at the Tokico HPs, those are stock replacements and will not be able to handle coil overs. You need either Koni Yellows, or D-specs for coil overs.

ok i am far from a millionaire and i refuse to pay for some cheap piece of crap like from ebay or somthing suspension isn't somethin to cheap out on so i may just get the tein h-tech's the only lower about an inch which will help the looks but keep my bumper off the ground everywhere i go. what kind of struts do i need with those?

You could get away with KYB AGX struts with those springs.
