well yes you need new struts anyway. lowering on stock struts in not good. w/ the s-techs, the right way is koni yellows or tokico dspecs

He's right in that you need new shocks, but even with the new ones a set of lowering springs will not have as much pre-load on them as stock springs and often don't have any at all.

That's why the seem to just sit there loosely when you put them on the struts. When the weight of the car comes down on them though, then everything will sit properly.

yea i was going to say that but i didnt know how far along he was. its the same as when you jack a lowered car up. once all the weight is off the wheel, the spring is loose on the strut until you put the car back on the ground.

No worries. We all have to start somewhere.

Talk to Karo at www.carcustoms.net about some shocks. I'm sure he can hook you up, or post in your regional forum asking about any good local places.

If you're trying to save a buck, I'm not sure how low those tiens are... But go with the Tokico D-specs, they're warrentied on the drop and a direct bolt in from my understanding, and less than the koni yellows. The konis are supposedly the best struts you can buy however, but if you're a noob I wouldn't reccomend them, as they involve some mechanical ability.

I've got to make the leap for struts soon too, I got Sprint springs sittin here with a 1.8 drop, and it's killing me not having them on, but would rather not on the stock struts, it will ride like ass, I can gurantee you

There will always be someone faster than you, but thousands slower and dumber than you.
