Sunday, May 06, 2007 3:07 AM
So i stumbled back up on the MantaPart Performance web site and found they have the kits to use Corvette brakes... Just wondering if any one has bought these or any thing from Mantapart at all? and how was it?

looks to be about $2050 for the front and back set up..
any way here is the link to the site for any one who wants to check it out MantaPart Performance

also i see they have Bilstein shocks/springs... i didn't even know Bilstein made a set up for the Jbody??

MantaPart blows ass. There were a few big threads about poor service and part quality a while back. Please don't order any parts for the vette from them.

Mantaparts quality of parts is TOP notch!! Quality of service well many people have had issues with them. They have always been pretty good to me. I know they have been really good to others as well. They have even helped people at the Bash's in the past with parts to be able to get home. I would suggest if you bought from them to do COD, but the qaulity of parts should not be questioned. I have installed there Bilstein coil-over set-up. Also road in that set-up. Rode better than stock, and performed GREAT!!!! Best coil-over option I have seen for a J.

Bilstein does not have a direct setup for the JBody. Tim has found 2 to 3 different sets of strut/shocks that work well with the Jbody.

I have Mantaparts sports coilover setup and have no issues with the quality or ride. I have ordered parts for myself and other people and had no issues ( then again I do pickup 80% of my parts in person ) The only issue I had with them is when I ordered my coilovers. They sent me the wrong upper spring seat to use with the stock mount. I waited for months for their machine shop to make another pair. I ended up ordering a set of custom camber plates

As far as the brakes are concerned, just order the Baer's like Weasel said. Pretty much the same parts

Corvette Brakes = Read the F/W/N body brake sticky up top. Its a simple upgrade from the 12" F-body to 13" Corvette front setup (from what I understand from reading F-body forums)

Corvette Rear Brakes = Bear Setup
