Just curious of which one most of you guys would go with. I don't know much about either. The price difference is about 30 bucks...
What would you guys go with?
Thanks for the help.
Basics without a doubt, love mine over my old dpsec/ road magnet setup. Are you looking at a dspec strut/spring combo cause otherwise the basics should be a few hundred more if new. Basics are full coilovers, dspecs are just struts.
^^ Tokico has a packaged kit available. comes with 1.4" drop springs and D-Spec struts. i dont think i've ever heard of anyone actually using the kit though.
everything i can seem to find puts the Tein basics at almost $100 more. either way, if you're already spending that kinda money you might as well spend a little extra and get the Teins. adjustable ride height, high quality parts and a fantastic ride (from all accounts i've ever heard) you can't go wrong with them.
neither kit comes with strut mounts though, so you have to re-use your current ones (although i would suggest replacing all 4 with new).
i have an Eibach Sportline/ Tokico D-spec combo. i like that setup alot. the springs give a bit of a bouncy ride, but they perform well. the adjustability of the struts is nice. you can soften it up for a decent comfort level, or stiffen it up and have a ride as hard as a rock. its got a nice adjustability range. but my hopes are to eventually get a Tein coilover setup. everything i've ever heard is that they out perform pretty much everything out there in handling and comfort for our cars. the only thing that comes close is the STD coilovers. if you can afford Teins, i say you might as well.
Either one... just depends on your preference for adjustability. The d-spec spring/strut kit is nice and Tokico is a good brand, but Tein would be a little nicer I think.
If you decide on either one... let me know if I can help you with the purchase. I carry both brands.

The only thing that I don't like about my basics, is that there not adjustable struts. Other then that, there kick ass

you should change your strut mounts at the same time.

I've got the teins. I've ran them for over 130k miles and they still ride fine. So I say tein.
I have D-Specs with teh 1.4" springs and love the ride quality over a coil over setup. I also adjust my struts from time to time so a fixed valve strut is not what I am after.
