Rear camber shims.
Saturday, January 08, 2011 9:47 AM
I just had a set of 1* rear camber shims arrive today. I ordered them off Summitracing. It took a bit for them to ship out, but they did arrive.

They are exactly what you would expect, a tampered nylon shim and the installed looks to be the same as Jeffie's spacers. It states that they can be stacked to achieve greater changes.

Im not sure what else can be said for them and i dont know when i'll get them installed, but i wanted to get a set to check them out.

How much did these things run you?

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

$8. I did order a few other items at the same time and they only charged me the handling fee once.

Not bad I was expecting to hear some insane price.

Yea not too bad, I was gonna suggest spending a couple bucks on washer shims if you had spent like $20 a piece or something.

Forgive me for being blunt here, since I may have missed a post or something-

Why is this news? These have been around for years and come in all sorts of sizes (degrees).

Again, not trying to be a dick, just wondering why this seems to be a big deal.

It's nothing new our big news, just the fact that tinkles is doing it. Though I am sure there are plenty of people out there that had no clue these existed.

its more of a big deal nowadays because of the whole 'stance' craze.

the j-body crowd is behind the times like always. were just victims of time, thats all....

JBO has been ignorant to these for years. Like Zyaaa said that the "stance" bug is starting to infect JBO and i know a few people would be interested in them. Plus they are cheap enough that i'd figure i would pick up a set to see exactly what they are. Plus you have to remember that while the majority of JBOer do work on their own car, but not everyone is a certified tech that works/worked in the field.

My hope is to maybe toss these in and improve my handing alittle bit without looking retarded.
