Since there was questions of a Heim joints longevity on a street car, I started looking around and found
this. Theyre boots for Heim joints. Something like this be nice for those of us who live in dirt and salt prone areas. I just dont see a set of unprotected Heim joints lasting the winter where I live.
id be good with some red ones.
awesome news Mark
cuz i was about to hella bump this thread lol
those are gonna be sweet!
Just something to toss out there...
I think it would be a great idea if the nut was a castle nut or atleast a nylock.
They look awesome. Are they going to be available in different colors. But i agree lock nut, or castle nut/ cotter pin, and shorter bolt.
U could use a lock washer if any thing
*****BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL*****
Please no lock washer, it'll just rattle off in this application.

this is essentially what we do in the blazer community for lifted trucks. obviously the ball joint movement is in the opposite direction since the trucks went up not down.
Mark, well made products as usual sir.
Just keep in mind a nylon lock nut is a one time use piece in this application. Very nice piece though!
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
^^ YUp....castle nut would be a much nicer option
Quit photo whoring my rod ends lol.
Ans ive been using the nylocs on my existing setup for 2 years now and no problems. Also most replacement rod ends dont use castle nuts anymore, theyve gone to nylocs or prevailing torque nuts.
Nylocks are just fine for this..
I personally just prefer castle's since they can be reused thats all. Not that you should be having to remove these often. But I figured with this being now a maintenance item castles would be good.
got them today thanks mark!
What are the specs on these? I'm wondering if they would work on other applications.
.
The bolt you sent with the kit are a tad too long, i have about 1/2" of shank on the bolt under the tire rod
just FYI for future sales.
