Hey I'm picking up one of these tommorow just wondering what kind of performance to expect from it, I still have stock fronts so I cant put it on just yet until I get the front kit which if anyone is selling one let me know. In conjunction with a 12inch front kit how much more stopping power am I really going to have, anything special to keep in mind when installing one of these
You got them to fit the 12inch kit on 15s too? How?
If so this is good news, I want to lower rim size from 16s to 15s. This looks promising.

Only in the back. The 12" front kit has a bigger caliper.
As for performance... you'll have more braking power from higher speeds and pretty much never have to worry about fade ever again. If you've got heavier wheels, you'll also be reducing your stopping distances.
Basically, your braking performance will be limited more by traction now than by the brakes themselves, which is a nice feeling.

the stock wheels fit over the rears no problem
i dont have fronts yet
i was going to do the G/A fronts so that way ill still clear the 16" wheels
and their front caliper looks like the rear but bigger
Rodimus, you don't want those
Send em to ME!!
You will notice a difference, especially in the rain. ABS still works too
WATCH out for the Ebrake though, mine had a routing problem, just a warning.
Shoot me an email if ya need anything

Rodimus You Ba$Tard! U Suck but anyway Mine will be better eventually......SSBC KIT LoL Also Lenko said the same thing that Travis or Raskal said about The E~Brake.
So will the 12" fronts fit w/stock Z24 wheels or is that where you need the 17's?
12" kit will fit some 16" wheels though I don't know about the stock ones. I think you'll have to contact Baer for a template since I think only the 13" one is on their website.
I don't even know of anyone that actually has the 12" kit to test it out.
i almost had the old ssbc 12" front kit
but it was sold after i told the person not to sell it , or i woulda had them on my car and posted already
The SSBC 12" kit requires 17's though, doesn't it?
not sure , like i said it was the old kit with the PBR calipers front and rear , so they have cleared 16"
id get baer or the rsm kit they both work with 16s
Can somebody post the solutiojn to the ebrake problem,
I just installed the rear disk conversion yesterday and while i go the stock cables to hook up the vette cable brackets and the handle pulls tight in only a few clicks they wotn hold the car. I tried to reset the adustment on the ebrake handle but after a few clicks it does the same thing.
I need to kno whow to fix this problem as mine is a 5 speed and i use the ebrake everyday/

possibly, the old GT wheels are NOT like the Z wheels, the spokes may get in the way
I had/have the 12" front template (it IS available on the website) and it WILL NOT fit 96-99 GT wheels.
sorry if that was a threadjack
