ok i just ordered 18's and i am not wanting to replace my dropzones and get a nice full suspension. i hear the agx's are pretty good for struts. what do you guys recommend. and also i want a nice set of springs. i want it to be pretty low but to have a little angle down... so the back isnt lower than the front ,bc i see alot of cavs like that. Ide like a 1.8 in the front and 1.7 or .6 in the back. and not much wheel gap at all. i heard B & G are a good set what would you guys recommend. leave pics and and discriptions of what you have. POST!!!!
the only struts that are warrantied for for than a 1.5" drop are the koni sport (yellow). any conbination will "work" but depending on your roads, may not last as long as you would like. i.e. edelbrock has a z24 with stock shocks struts and sportline springs (1.7 front; 2.3 rear drop) however it doesn't deal with potholes, at all. stock shocks/struts only dampen on the rebound stroke, so with less suspension travel and no compression it is very likely to bottom out with say pittsburgh, PA roads.
i would say that a 1.5" drop springs, and mid grade shocks/struts (tokico, KYB exct.) would be a good bet for overall suspension (cost/performance)
you could go the coilover route with the ground control sleeved coilovers, that would even out the front & rear lowering. they have kits for kyb, koni, exct. Or you could get the tein coilovers, which run around $800, this is actually a good value. shop around, get the prices, there are a lot of options out there-basically it depends on how much you want to spend.
For exactly what you're asking for, I think the Eibach Sportlines with Koni Yellows are your best option. They're a tad bit lower than what you're asking for but right up your alley.
what about the sprint spings, are they good? its 1.8 front and 1.8 rear. do you guys know if their quality? any more inputs will help!
friend of mine had a set on his grand am. he loves them, no sag and he's had them for like 2 1/2 years.
ill sell you my goldlines if you want em. shoot me an email

i have sprints available if you want a pretty big drop
thanks for the input. hey navycav3 is the sprint ride good? and what struts do you have?
please leave more inputs!
i actually think sprint makes shocks/struts to compliment their springs...
