I have been playing around with the settings on my Konis. I have been working the stiffness up slowly i am now at 3/4 of a turn in the front and a half turn in the rear.
the other day i was on my way from the car wash, i have to make a u turn in order to get back home. when I made my turn I made it and i as accelerating as i did so that I would not be a nuisance in traffic. as i was turn in the wheel to straiten out the tires were grabbing and pulling me to the center island in the road. i was able to get out of it but it bothered me that i had so much trouble in get the car to straighten back out. the car is a joy to drive in most other respects. the only exception in the read end breaking loose when on a wet road and I'm not paying attention, or going too fast.
Did you have the pedal mashed?
If you're turning and accelerating too hard, the inside wheel will lose traction and start spinning. As you straighten out, that one wheel spinning can cause the car to pull hard to the other side. This is really evident in the snow. When you're trying to go straight and one wheel starts spinning, the car pulls right to the side.
I doubt he was loosing traction on the front- that requires a lot of body roll, crappy tires, or power(none of which he has). You probably were experiencing the wonderful world of torque steer. I get it all the time in my cavalier.
Good article on torque steer:

Cinny, if you haven't done it already you may want to upgrade the front sway bar bushings to poly ones and think about a subframe brace. They will help stiffen up the front and balance out that swaybar in the back (so you don't spin out on a wet road....)
i say torque steer and the @!#$ty road crowning

having grown up in the snow I can say that it is not the effect your talking about but I do know it well. it didn't have that slide characteristic, more a jerk, or pull.

I read the article, and this seems to be more likely, also not in my profile is that i put in the motor mounts.
Zach: my car didn't come with a front bar, so when i put it in I used poly. I have a front sub-frame brace, but I haven't had the time to install it. i was wanting to put in a rear tie-bar at the same time, I think it was either you or novaracer that had put in a rear tie-bar and had to take it off, do it massive oversteer.
if I do put it in how much under steer should i expect to return from doing this?
its a hand made brace like has been posted before. i need to get a couple of spacers so I can make sure I clear the tranny. with the motor mounts it will not be as bad with out, but i don't want transmission fluid spewing down the road due to bad planning.
Get a Phantom Grip LSD that will probably help torque steer more than any other mod. Or a Quaife lsd if you can find one and willing to spend that much.

It was me. I'm waiting to get stiffer springs/shocks to put it back on. Body roll was making it really kick around. Right now I REALLY like the way my car is handling (besides the body roll).
I've got a 26mm rear bar and strut brace. The front subframe brace, 19mm bar (stock w/ ploly), and GM strut brace seem to provide a really good balance on the front. Since you on konis and pro-kit it may not be the same. Try softening the rear up (and maybe the front a little) and see if that helps. Oversteer isn't the fastest way around a corner.
BTW, if you have the GM strut tower brace go ahead and screw it into the firewall. It made a noticable difference in my car -- much more than I thought it would.
