O.K, so I finally figured out that this clunky/poping noise I've been having is actually the bearing inside my strut mount. Now, Napa wants 64 bucks for this thing, and I know a bearing place will have it for a 1/4 of that. Does anyone have the part number or numbers off the bearing? Any help would be great.
Thanks
I'm pretty sure the bearing is specific to the mounts and not just some standard bearing you can go out and buy from a bearing supplier.
i'm sure the bearing removes from the housing, and a little grease and a new bearing, we'll be good as new...the exact same as what Napa has to offer
It's not recommended to change the strut mount bearing by its self. you should change the WHOLE mount.
I got the mount and bearing for $52 at pepboys.
Is that about the best price? Napa around here can't even get them for my 2000 Cav. I found them at Advanced Auto for $77.00 each!!! Anyone know where the cheapest place to get the strut mounts at is???????

2000 plus cavalier gmpartsdirect.com strut mount front 22200754 seat and bearing 22182103 you need two of each. This is where i got mine.
i know most places have more than just autozone or just one store.
considering theres autozone, advance-auto-parts.com, pepboys.com
check out places, some of these parts like bearings are around 13$ or less. use all your resources not just a few.
i got 2 front mounts for a 95-99 for my 03 for $78 at autozone. thats the best price anywhere around me.

Just replace those 2000+ mounts with pre-2000 style. The bearings are much better in the older mounts, and they are completely separate part (you don't have to worry about prying them out like with the newer style mounts). Replacing just the bearings in the 2000+ mounts is stupid IMO.
