I am looking for information on if anyone has the ss hood and has a front strut tower brace. I understand most of them wont fit b/c the induction comes down a little at the filter. who if any makes one in this situation or will one have to be fabricated?
The GM strut bar will fit. Some others might but it's hit or miss.
I can just get that at any chevy parts place? or order it from them?
Yep. Have them look it up from a 95-00 Cav convertible.
Or do a search here to find the different part numbers for bars made for various cruise control configurations. It doesn't really matter but makes the relocation easier if it's necessary.
i have the rsm strut bar and it fits but ive noticed with cold weather you can here a vibration under my ss hood so something is obviously hitting and the cold weather brings out the noise so im gonna see if i can flip it or find out exactly where it is rubbing and use 3m double sided tape.
rksport front brace and not a rub at all

the DC Sports bar ($$$) will work without moving the ECU, I don't know if it will work with a ram air hood though
nope wont work with the ram air hood , i tried it
it is very close to fitting , guess we should had the cav ram air hood over there , oh well
yea my main concern was the hood. I just didnt want to have to make one myself. the fit was really tight I had to use a rubber mallet to pop it into place. but it is in there tight. I got it off of ebay for $50 but i priced one at the gm place and they quoted me at $68 not too bad i thought it would of been more
