I'm running 18's. Looking for 17's to use through the winter.

Yep. Year round. Currently running all-season tires but I've been looking for a set of cheap 17's to put some winter rubber on.
The poor thing...

Well, heres a pic of my new setup i finally got installed a few days ago. I have the 13" Baer big brake upgrade up front and the 12" rear disk comversion out back. The wheels are Fondmetal 6700 with +50mm offset. And they dont rub or hit anything even at full lock. The tires are Yoko 225/40ZR18 AVS ES100. Im really happy with the way it turned out.
Originally i was hoping to stock 16's would fit so i could use them for some track only rubber, but they wont quit fit, maybe of you got a spacer they would, but not worth it IMO.

Can't see your pic.
You did well in going with a +50mm offset though. I'll do the same if I ever replace my wheels. The brakes increase the track slightly so it's a gamble as to whether you'll end up cutting tire on the rear fenders. Some cars will and some won't. Mine did on one side.
I solved the problem by raising it up a bit so the travel doesn't allow it to touch anymore but would have preferred to have higher offset wheels.
Yeah im pretty sure they will clear in the back as well, imnot low enough for them to cut on the fender lip. I also have some 8mm spacers if i need them, which i may end of useing them anyway so the rear tires dont look so sunken in. I hate the way that looks. Ill have the rear brakes installed today, and i was able to go buy one more new tire, so atlest the driver side will have 18's front and back and just the right rear willl roll a stock 16 for now.
Yeah the wheels are actually made to fit a Subaru but i got them for 150 bucks from Discount Tire's Ebay auction and figured i could make them fit, with only a minor spacer if needed. And it wasnt needed in the front. Well see what the back looks like.
Ive never seen these wheels on another J before, which is one reason why i bought them.

Yeah, the Subaru's use a higher offset. That's what I was looking for when looking for winter wheels.
17" gramlights here, never had any problem with rubbing turning, etc.
Like said above, 16s wont fit.
