Got a 03 LS with, obviously the LS sport lips and skirts, and I'm considering getting a Sportline kit, 1.7" front 2.3" rear drop. I drive about 50,000km per year, half of that of course in the winter. Is it gonna be pissing me off a lot? I live in quebec city, so there IS a lot of snow. I drive mainly highway though.
Thakns for your input!
If you don't mind taking the valences off in the winter, I think you'll be ok. I made it through a winter just fine on my stock bumpers but wouldn't want to do it with my valences.
Your valences aren't simple to remove, but it can be done.
I drove my 02 last winter with the factory valances and had no problems at all. Im lowered with Intrax (1.7")

WW: They can't be removed, can they? The whole bumper is like one whole piece on the 03 LS sport. I don't know how I could take them off without cutting with a knife or something
This really is my main concern about lowering, otherwise I would've done it long ago.
Thanks for your inpute hey!
nah its not a big deal. you can do it if i can in NH

you can do it....just be careful
or just get yourself a nice set of coilovers....and adjust and get it re-aligned before every winter
i made it just fine.but next winter i will take the rear bar off
see ya!

You don't need an alignment after adjusting the coilovers on our cars.
As for the Sportlines... if you absolutely have to drive your car in the snow and can't avoid it when the ploughs haven't come yet, then I can just about guarantee that you're going to be acting as a plough yourself. That's just the way it is.
If you've got snow tires then you should be able to power yourself through the snow easily enough but you can probably make plans to repaint the front bumper every 2 or 3 years if you want to keep it looking nice and new.
it takes all of an hour to swap back in the stock springs... just put the stockers in for the winter and then drop it for the summer. that's what i did this year. no uneven tire wear without an alignment...
this year i have a winter beater so no more of that for me.
