Its about that time to start saving up for a drop. I would like to get ground control coilovers on tokico D-spec struts. I am running 18x7.5 Motegi MR7's with a +45mm offet. Will I be able to slam the car without rubbing issues? A +45mm offset makes it look like the front tires stick out a little bit from the fender, but not by a great noticeable amount. The rear fits inside nicely, but should I be worried about the front with that offset?

you might think i'm joking, but it works...
get about 3-5 people to push down on the car. if it clears it, it should work.
however, whats the point of paying so much money for struts if all you are gonna do is blow em from abusin em by "slammin em" (that is if you plan to drive like that)
no strut is made to be abused like that and pretty much you are paying a crapload just to damage em.
granted its your money, but you might wanna look into air ride. not to mention if you drive like that, dont be surprised on accelerated wear on cv joints, and mounts and bushings.
Yea, I wouldn't be driving with it slammed, just for shows and stuff. Only lowered to a max of about 2.5" probabaly.
Well if it won't be able to go down that far I should just save the money and get goldlines instead. I sent wildweasel a msg since he has the same wheels as I do.
As I said in my email, mine had no issues until I put the brakes on and then only had issues with one side in the back.
If you only want to slam it for shows, I recommend you order them with the taller springs I have listed in my registry. They shouldn't cost a dime extra if ordered with the kit.
I don't have coilovers so I can slam my car. I have them for the higher non-progressive spring rates and the ability to tune the ride height for different conditions. Being able to slam it for a show is a nice side effect and rubbing really isn't an issue there since you don't actually have to drive around on them.
