RKsport Coilovers... help
Sunday, May 08, 2005 2:36 PM
Does anybody know if the RKsport Coilovers ever said "RK sport" on them? I have always seen the springs saying 'ground control', but never actually RK sport. The reason I am asking is, I recently bought a set and while browsing through ebay... I kind of saw a set that looks like them so i wanna make sure these truly are RK sports.

I did not buy these coilovers off ebay, I would never waste my money like that. I would like to think im smarter than that.

if its on ebay and you bought em for like 40-80$, their prob ebay crap

rksport uses H&R springs

ground control uses eibach springs.

both of quality.

ground control gets their name printed on eibach springs.

if those are bearings in that bag along with these things that are circle or D shaped for the front sleeves to sit on...

then the sleeve pieces that come with the sleeves to fit on the stock struts (should be the red pieces), you should be fine.

crap quality, dont come with all the parts needed, and dont come with the parts to install coilovers correctly.

quick economics and logic question:

a decent set of lowering springs cost 150-200$

decent set of coilovers cost about 330-1000+ $

do you really wanna chance using coilovers that cost 1/4 of the price of springs, arent made for the car, and doesnt have all the parts?

its like if you went to buy a car, and it was a 300,000$ car and someone was trying to sell it to you for 2$, hopefully a BS flag goes off in your head

I don't mind a little stiffness. My birthday is next monday and im getting the Control Arm Bushings, Sub Frame brace, and both front and rear Sway bars... so mine too shouldn't have much body roll
