Anybody have any experince with skunk 2 coilovers with konis?
word.
Skunk 2 Coilovers may FIT are cars, but they were not engineered for are cars. So yes they will work, but they will ride awful, for the money you spend on those, i would just save and buy some RKsport Sleeve style coilovers or keep saving for GCs.
Same thing with Weapon R coilovers, they fit are cars, but were not engineered for are car.
agreed. those dont even come with bearings.
They do not come with all the parts you need for a proper install.
Even on their own site, they list them as "sleeves only" since they know it's not a complete set. You still need top hats and bearings among other things.
Get the Ground Control kit. It's worth the extra money.
i had them same set up. skunk2s w/ koni reds. i actaully still have the coils, just as a back up, but the car rode fine for me. mine came w/ top hats and all. it was a little bouncy but w/ the koni damping, i was able to take care of it
i found a set of skunk 2 coilovers pre installed on koni's from a previous owner, any idea if there had to be adjustments made to the koni's or can i just remove the coilovers and add springs instead?
skunk are @!#$. just eBay coilovers. don't waste your time/money/suspension

considering i;ve seen skunks still sitting on the spring perch. if the spring perches are still there, then yea, you can just buy the set, scrap the coilovers and add springs.
check with gm dealerships and get the spring insulators (rubber mats for the springs if you dont have em) like 2$ a piece.
