i've noticed that when everybody lowers their cars that the front just sits a tiny bit higher, than the rear is that because the springs in back are different heights than front? sorry if this is a dumb question
Moms & Dads talk to your kids, before its too late, tell them to say no to aluminum wings.
it's just a characteristic of the car......
i got my coilovers on, and set them at the highest setting before i put them on. i dropped the car off the jackstands, and the front was WAY TOO high. i ended up putting the front coilover perches halfway down the sleeve to make up for the odd height issues with our cars.
some say its because the engine differences, i;ve lifted all three engines myself, by hand and theres not much difference between the three.
alot of times people park on unever surfaces and this occurs.
other times the lowering distance of most all performance springs are around 1.5 inches, which is where the axles are parrallel to the ground, which is performance minded.
With 2k+ mounts and coilovers, the front will lower itself over time as the rubber in the mount compresses.
my pro-kit looks quite level, if you look at the side skirts, wheel well gap is another thing altogether.
My H&R's ended up giving me a fairly level looking drop. The fender gap is almost equal between the front and rear.
sorry to thread jack : Zach how do you like your new set-up?
LOVE IT! I'm sure Koni's and GC's make for a better setup, but for the $515(shipped) I spent on AGX's and H&R's I couldn't be happier. Lap times are sure to improve.
BTW, the sig is obviously before my drop.
i have rk coilovers and they are stiff but not harsh. but the car is on rails
see ya!
