I was wondering what would be the way to go; skunk 2 or ground control coil-overs. However, i had a set of the ground control coil-overs and i kept blowing rear struts(agx's). Are the skunk 2 coil-overs better or worse than the ground control's? Would i be wasting my money buying the skunk 2's and trying them?
ground controls....
agx;s are NOT to be used with coilovers, it states that in their warranty...
or ANY kyb struts for that matter.....
get konis.
that is also a problem as well...

so i guess i wasted my money on these S*#$ty struts. I wish i didn't sell the coilovers
the only thing i dont get is on gravana site they have three possible different versions of the ground control coilovers. one for stock struts, one for kyb and one for the koni's. so i figured it would be ok if i ordered the ones for the kyb's
nah not really @!#$ty struts...you just far exceeded the limit on em....
kyb agx are great for normal drops...
most who do 3 inches are usually just at shows as the excessive drop will wear your cv joints quicker.
the reason they have the different setups is so if you can put em on either, but stock struts are meant for stock springs.
kybs are slightly a step above,
koni is when you start doing extremes. but even with koni, if you ride it too low, they will get damaged.... thats also stated in koni;s warranty.
Well i feel a little bit better after reading that. I knew it would have been too good to be true riding around with a 3 inch drop and having everything not break. Ill just stick with my rksport lowering springs and buy a turbo. lol
raise the car up about 1.5" it may not look as good but it will handel allot better
see ya!
The reason Ground Control sells different kits for the different struts is because they know people will do it, even if the struts can't handle it.
The different kits all use the exact same springs. They just have slightly different hardware so they will install properly on the different types of struts. This has nothing to do with whether or not the struts can handle them. This just means they're not going to fall off or anything.
