OK, I'd like some input from the owners of this setup, or recommendations for something different. I'm looking at a set of Ground Control coilovers, with Koni struts, as far as strut bars, sway bars, and any of that, I figured that any of the name brands would be good. I would like a full suspension setup in the near future... and I'd like to get it for a reasonable price (under $1k)
What do ya'll suggest?

gravanatuning.com sells a gc/koni yellow setup for like 8 something i believe. they also sell the tien kit which is pretty good too, also around the same price range
i got D-spec and prokit for $1300 CDN
as for the rest of my set up...
addco rear sway $110 USD used
vibrant front and rear STB $180CDN (shipped from the states $$$$$
)
all engine and tranny mounts, control arm bushings $240 CDN
subframe brace $3.00 CDN for the bolts LOL <--- home made
and she corners sooo nice now
if you like to drive.. and you like cornering.. i recomend this set up. but thats just me. I'm sure other people will recomend what they have and what works out best for them.

before buying swaybars, i;d reccomend springs and struts first. alot of people get swaybars way too large for their needs, theres different sizes...well obviously...for different tuning effects.
the FAQ at the top of the forum i updated a few weeks ago, so most all of it is current.
also remember in suspension, only buy what you need, not just because its there. and if handling is your goal, keep it around 1.5 inches....
You can look at my registry and just buy everything that's listed.
Substitute the Koni Sports for the Koni Specials since they don't make the Specials anymore.
Very helpful responses, thank you. I would like handling to be a top priority... I'm not interested in how it looks so much. Modfire and Weasel... very nice setups, I'll probably do some of that when I can afford it.

and one other word of advice..... don't cheap out.... do it once, do it right. research the products... search the site for posts on the products... trust me you will find alot of reviews on all alot of the products that were suggested to you today.

Yeah, I plan on doing this right. It took a little time for me to realize that I wanted to add performance to all aspects of my Cavy, and I want to make sure I get quality stuff, and get EVERYTHING I need at once.
It will be a few months before I can get the suspension stuff, I just forked out a little cash for a little power... lol

I like my set up. the only thing i would change it custom konis and a 325 front spring insted of the 375 for a little less steady state under steer.
that might happen over the winter.

one question though....
in buying everything at once, still i would def reccomend add the basics first, hold off on the swaybars and add as needed.
as it stands, weasle has a different stock front swaybar than you have, so the handling differences will be noticable.
reason i am reitterating this is because the way weasle likes his handling, might not be the same as modfire or anyone else.
cause between those two registries ones on springs another on coilovers, a definate handling difference right there.
your choice though.
Also, adding things one component at a time will allow you to distinctly feel what difference each component has made so you can further tune the car to your preferences.
I generally recommend waiting at least 2 weeks between suspension mods so you can get accustomed to what you've done.
exactly.... thats what i was suggesting above in my first post
mine was like this
1st.. front /rear strut tower bars
2 months later... engine and tranny mounts
1 month later... d-specs-prokit and control arm bushings
2 months later... rear sway bar
1 month later... subframe brace
next.... new endlinks for the stock front sway bar. and maybe the rear tie bar.
each step was a noticeable change... and i found that each mod was like learning the car again. Of course autoX helped me learn alot quicker... legally
i got agx's first in 10/04 then a addco rear bar in 11/04 i installed the rk-coil-overs in 2/05 along with ES front sway bar end links and D-bushings, car-customs control arm bushings,brake lines,rotors,pads and when i let the car down with the jack i grabbed the core support and pushed down real hard
i was looking at the strut towers and i could see them move with my eyes
i thought to my self i guess you need a front strut tower brace
i took some time researched other STB's then think about what i wanted and our class rules. then i made a super STB
