Has anyone encountered a problem with their fuel gauge giving false readings and acting erratic, mine has been this way for 2 or 3 years and i've just lived with it, what it's doing is I can fill up and it reads full drive the 320 miles I get to the tank and it still reads full! but sometimes it reads like it's supposed to, I can stop at a light or sign and it will float down then back up and start flucuating, I have yet to remove the tank to check anything there just yet, I am just trying to get a few ideas from anyone who has had this problem. Thank you in advance.

I kinda figured that, and its not a cheap part either....Thanks GM!!!
accually its not a bad sending unit its a level sensors thats bad and there pretty cheap its just while your in the tank theres a occuring costs that come up
mtal tank really rusty nows the time to replace it, tanks straps should be replaced might has well repace the pump (thus why they do the sending unit) however a racetronix pump and new level sensor is 1/2 what gm wants for a sending unit
