I am putting a 3800 into a sunfire and would like some pointers on what needs to get swapped along with the motor.
I know the computer has to go, but what else?
The donor car is a 1996 olds 88 and the subject is a 2002 sunfire with a 2200 OHV.

3800 swap how-to.

It should be a sticky.

since your an 02 if you manual your set trans wise and again your 02 wire the car as an 2004 Impala SS supercharged then your stock cluster will read correctly and with proper tuning no idiot lights will be on this is the best way to do this swap you can use the 96 wiring but it will have to be changed 98 i had to change like 10 wires 96 should be similar except i think the PCM plugs might be different 96/97 are a nightmare tuning and wiring wise
